  • La tarte Tropézienne

This is my favorite version of the tarte Tropézienne. A buttery brioche lightly soaked with a delicate orange blossom syrup, sliced in half and filled with a diplomat cream.

La tarte Tropézienne was born in Saint Tropez -French Riviera town- in 1955. A Polish baker recreated at the time a family recipe. It got its name from actress Brigitte Bardot who fell in love with it and named it after the town “La tarte de Saint Tropez”. It then became la Tarte Tropézienne.

To this day only three persons know the original secret recipe…
